The annual traditional competition of professional skill gathered today the best students of secondary medical educational institutions of Tatarstan Republic, graduates in 2018 in "General Medicine" in Nizhnekamsk Medical College.

Opening ceremony of new Primary Health Center (PHC) was held in the village Bima of Agryz district. It became the tenth PHC built within the framework of the presidential republican program. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Head of Agryz district Richat Nurislamov, Head physician of SAHI "Republican Blood Center" Ramil Turaev, Head of Healthcare Department of Naberezhnye Chelny Oleg Sabaev, Head physician of Agryz Central Regional Hospital Eduard Ovchinnikov and the locals.

Committee of patients has been created in Kazan Municipal Polyclinic № 21. It is designed to improve the work of the institution, including feedback from the population. The meeting of the Committee with the participation of the management of the polyclinic is held once a month. A variety of issues will be discussed during the meeting.

Surgical unit No. 1 of Nizhnekamsk Central Regional Multi-profile Hospital (NCRMH) has been opened after repair. More than 4 thousand people stay on treatment in two surgical units every year. Endoscopic operations as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, appendectomy and minimally invasive surgery for pancreatic necrosis, endoscopic removal of liver cysts were made in 2017. More than 300 patients are operated per year.

The theme of Symposium is "Stereotactic radiosurgery and radiotherapy in the treatment of functional diseases of the brain, eye, lung and breast cancer; children's radiosurgery".

Delegation of Altai region has visited Republican Clinical Hospital. Delegation included Deputy Health Minister of Altai region Konstantin Gordeev and head of Healthcare for Adults and Children Department of Health Ministry of Altai region Zhanna Vakhlova.

Delegation of University of Medical Sciences (Istanbul, Turkey) is in Kazan with working visit. The delegation comprises: Vice-rector for external relations of University of Medical Sciences Dr. Sadrettin Penche, Director of Eurasian Center for Health and Social Sciences at University of Medical Sciences Aynur Feyzioglu, Director of Asia-Pacific Center for Health and Social Sciences at University of Medical Sciences Magfiret Abduveli, employee of biochemistry sub-faculty of University of Medical Sciences Penche Khalime Khanym, Director of the simulation center of University of Medical Sciences Sarachoglu Kemal Tolga.

Traditional annual all-Russian Scientific-Practical Conference "New technologies in ophthalmology" will be held in Culture Center “Korston”on April 13-14, 2018. The most pressing issues of ophthalmology, high-tech operations and the latest methods of treatment of eye diseases will be discussed during the conference.

Employees of Children's Dental Polyclinic № 5 of Kazan together with volunteers of KSMU "Healthy smiles" held a lesson, where they told the children about dental diseases and the importance of oral hygiene. They also conducted a free preventive examination of the oral cavity.

Donor campaign "Milliliters of life" was held in one of the shopping and office centers of Kazan. The participants of the traditional charity event were employees of the center and visitors. The staff of Republican Blood Centre thanked all who have donated blood. As a result of the campaign, the blood bank was replenished with 14 liters.
