In the temporary infectious diseases hospital of the Central District Hospital, a 75-year-old patient with 70% lung damage, who was admitted in a serious condition, was treated from COVID-19. In the surgical department in September 2020, for the first time, a complex laparoscopic operation was performed. In two hours, the deputy chief physician Roman Marsovich Akhmetzyanov and the surgeon Yegor Igorevich Samokhvalov removed the gallbladder with stones and a stone from the bile duct through four punctures. Three days later, the 63-year-old woman was discharged home in a satisfactory condition. In addition, in December, a 50-year-old man with a stomach bleeding from a large ulcer was saved.

By order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ramil Rafizovich Mukhamatdinov was appointed to the post of Deputy Head of the Department of Health in Kazan.
