Military surgeon Tatyana Emelina celebrates the 97th anniversary!

Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, the military surgeon Tatyana Emelina celebrates her birthday today. She passed the severe school of war, experienced all the hardships and privations of the war from beginning to end, she saved hundreds of lives of Soviet soldiers. She participated in battles at Leningrad, Kursk, in liberation of Ukraine, Moldova, Poland and Germany. After the war she devoted her life to providing medical care for mothers and children, held the post of Deputy Health Minister of Tatarstan Republic during 12 years.
