New "Patients’ schools" for HIV-infected people have been opened in Tatarstan

The grant of the Russian President's Fund for the development of civil society has expanded the geography of the "Patient's school" for HIV-infected people in Tatarstan Republic. The project has started in Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk and Bugulma. "Patient’s schools" for HIV-infected people offer comprehensive medical and social services in cooperation with National AIDS Center and non-profit organizations. Activities are aimed at developing adherence to antiretroviral therapy at HIV-infected people and reducing the level of unauthorized interruption of therapy.
