Ten-day campaign dedicated to World Diabetes Day started in Tatarstan

Thematic ten day campaign "Diabetes. Life goes on" (dedicated to World Diabetes Day-November, 14) is taking place in Tatarstan Republic from 14 to 23 of November.

Diabetes mellitus is an endocrine disease caused by a lack of insulin in the body or a decrease in its action, as a result of which the ability to absorb carbohydrates properly is lost. Sugar (glucose) can not be absorbed by the cells of the body in such a metabolic disorder, so its level in the blood increases (hyperclycemia).
