ICDC performed cryopreservation of the first dose of platelets

Interregional Clinical and Diagnostic Center (ICDC) was the first in Tatarstan to receive permission to freeze platelets by special technology. The first dose of the blood component was cryo-preserved in the blood preparation department of the Center, where there is all the necessary equipment and trained personnel.

ICDC has its own plasma bank and now the platelet bank has begun to form. Such preparations are necessary for patients in emergency situations, when it is not possible to wait for the arrival of the donor and confirmation from the BAC laboratory that his blood is safe, because it sometimes takes up to 6 hours.
