Surgeons of Children's Republican Clinical Hospital performed a rare surgery

26 November 2019, Tuesday

The patient was admitted to CRCH with complaints of abdominal pain. After the examination, he was sent for an ultrasound diagnosis of the abdominal cavity. The results of the study revealed a tumor. CT study was required to determine the full surgical "picture" and it revealed a rare pathology-lymphangioma in combination with a retroperitoneal lipoma.

Lymphangioma is a benign tumor of congenital character from a variety of thin-walled cysts of various sizes, which are a form of atypically developed lymphatic vessels.
