Ten-day campaign on prevention of alcohol poisoning and its surrogates started in Tatarstan

Thematic ten-day campaign for the prevention of alcohol poisoning and its surrogates takes place in Tatarstan Republic from 2 to 11 of December.

Drinking alcohol leads to intoxication. Alcohol intoxication is acute alcohol poisoning. It is caused by hypoxia (oxygen starvation) of cortical cells. Hypoxia occurs as a result of the formation of blood clots in small vessels of the brain under the influence of alcohol poison. Some of cells die due to hypoxia of cortical cells.
