TR oncologists operated on a tumor of the tibia with the reconstruction of the knee joint with an endoprosthesis for the first time

High-tech surgical intervention for a tibial tumor with knee joint reconstruction with an endoprosthesis was performed in Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary for the first time in Tatarstan Republic.

The patient went to RCOD with complaints of pain in the right knee joint in December, 2018. The diagnosis of Ewing's sarcoma of the tibia was confirmed during an open biopsy. The peculiarity of this tumor is a high degree of malignancy.
