The goal of the Russia-wide "Good to the village" campaign is to get qualified medical care quickly, and most importantly, without going anywhere. It is a large-scale project that affects hundreds of thousands of rural residents throughout the country. On October 30, residents of Kugeevo village of Zelenodol'sk municipal district became its participants.
"Good to Village" is a federal project organized to ensure medical services accessibility in the most remote areas. The narrow specialists who came to the village worked until all the newcomers received the necessary consultations and performed the required examinations.
These narrow specialists were from Zelenodol’sk Central Municipal Hospital. They accepted patients at the Kugeevo Elementary School building. The villagers were able not only to receive consultations from a therapist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, oncologist, obstetrician-gynecologist, ophthalmologist, and pediatrician, but also to pass free ECG and ultrasound examinations and test their blood sugar levels.
Younger colleagues of "Medical Volunteers," students of Zelenodol’sk Nursing School, helped their senior colleagues.
In addition to the medical examination, specialists of the Center for Medical Prevention conducted consultations related to health, prevention of cardiovascular and cancer diseases. The schoolchildren took part in The Cleanliness Celebration and a quiz.
During the event, comprehensive measures were taken to ensure sanitary and epidemiological safety. The thermometry was administered at the entrance, and all participants were wearing protective masks and maintained a social distance.
