Students of the Zelenodo’sk Nursing College took an active part in the donor event
Donated blood is needed all the time. It is required in hospitals, maternity hospitals, cancer centers for emergency transfusion. On December 2-3, Kazan hosted the All-Russian Donor Action "Follow Me! # ЯОтветственныйДонор!” (I am a Responsible Donor) event.
The goal of the campaign was to help meet the needs of medical organizations in blood and its components and draw attention to blood donation during the pandemic.
Students of the Zelenodol’sk Nursing College did not stand aside and took an active part in blood donation. The event was successful. Before the blood donation, nursing volunteers went through an interactive quest and acquired new knowledge in the field of hemotoransfusiology.
Totally 253 donors took part in the action; 24 donors were medical volunteers from the Zelenodol'sk Nursing College. They replenished the blood bank with 10 liters 850 ml. of blood.
