The consumption of tobacco products, including electronic cigarettes, is the main reason for the development of pathology of the respiratory system.
According to WHO reports in 2016, it was confirmed that toxic substances are formed during the process of smoking electronic cigarettes. It turned out that the thermal decomposition of propylene glycol and glycerol, which are contained in the composition of the liquid for filling a cigarette, leads to the release of acrolein and formaldehyde, which have toxic properties.
In this regard, 12 December 2020, the volunteers of the project "Informational Hygiene" of General Hygiene Department, FSBEI HE, Kazan State Medical University of the Ministry of Health Care of Russia of Kazan conducted education activity on the theme "The Impact of Electronic Cigarettes on Health" for pupils of 8-9 grades MBEI "Boarding School #79" of Naberezhnye Chelny.
Educational activity was conducted with compliance with anti-epidemic recommendations.
