President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the new radiological building of the Almetyevsk branch of the Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary today.
Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the work of the branch of the Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary and its new modern radiological building. He was accompanied by the chief physician of State Autonomous Healthcare Institution "RCOD of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan" Ilgiz of Khidiyatov, head of Almetyevsk municipal district Timur Nagumanov, Director General of PJSC "Tatneft" Nail Maganov and chief physician of the Almetyevsk branch RCOD Sergey Karamalikov.
The new radiological building was built and equipped with the support of "Tatneft" and allows to conduct up to 30 thousand radiotherapy sessions for residents of the entire South-East of Tatarstan annually.
Until recently, the arsenal of doctors of the Almetyevsk branch of RCOD lacked the most popular methods of treatment – radiotherapy. Every year about 500 patients from the South-East of Tatarstan visit Kazan for radiological procedures.
To solve this problem and ensure the availability of radiotherapy methods in the South-East of Tatarstan, with the support of "Tatneft", the radiological building of the Almetyevsk branch of the Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary was built and equipped.
The radiological building consists of external beam radiotherapy with linear electron accelerator "Elekta Compact" room, a room of contact radiation therapy with gamma-therapeutic complex "NUCLETRIM", a room of x-ray computed tomography apparatus "Optima СТ550", room of x-ray therapy apparatus "X-RAY - TA-02", a room of external beam radiotherapy with gamma-therapeutic complex "ROKUS-AM", pre-doctor service room, day patient facility with 12 beds, as well as service, household and support premises.
The capacity of the radiological building is 60 visits per day (30,000 radiotherapy sessions per year).
The President of Tatarstan noted the significant contribution of "Tatneft" to the implementation of this important and necessary project for Almetyevsk and the entire oil region.
