A young and promising general practitioner physician Almira Insafovna Zigangirova told about the nuances of working in rural areas. The young doctor has been receiving patients in the Shingalchi outpatient clinic for four months. She and her two nurses monitor the health of not only residents of Shingalchi but also villagers from 8 settlements: Sarsaz-Bli, Tashlyk, Balchikly, Klyuch Truda, Kashayevo, Klyatli, Kzyl-Yul forestry, and Biklyansk forestry. In total, 1200 patients are attached to the Shingalchi outpatient clinic.
In-office visits happen before lunch, and home visits are scheduled after lunch. It is not known from which nearest locality the call will be received. Almira Insafovna works six days a week, and she sees 20 patients a day. The villagers do not have an appointment with their local therapist, and they get to the reception on a first-come, first-served basis.
Almira Insafovna graduated from Kazan State Medical University. The doctor's mother works as an x-ray technician. Perhaps, looking at her, Almira Insafovna, in the 7th grade, firmly decided to become a doctor and purposefully worked towards this goal. The district therapist's work experience is small, only three and a half years, but during this time, she worked in the polyclinic #2 of the NCRMH and the polyclinics of Kazan. On the front line, she did not refuse the offer to work in the Shingalchi outpatient clinic. Besides, according to the "Zemsky Doctor" program, she is entitled to a grant of 1500,000 rubles as a specialist working in rural areas. The doctor has already received this money, and together with her husband, she plans to use it to purchase housing.
In four months, Almira Insafovna, who is friendly and open to her patients, has already won their respect and trust. The work is going smoothly. Every day, the doctor not only treats her patients but also quickly and competently decides whether or not to send the patient to a narrow specialist in the city, how best to build a treatment regimen so that the person can recover in a short time. Almira Insafovna is a therapist, surgeon, and cardiologist for her patients. Fortunately, the outpatient clinic is equipped with everything one might need.
"We have a very good team. My nurses help me in everything, they know everyone, and if there are challenging patients, they tell me about it in advance, they help me find an approach to everyone, they know all the villagers' chronic diseases. Here, the approach to patients is more targeted. If you need to provide emergency care urgently, we have a convenient treatment room. We do everything ourselves and even take a cardiogram, take swabs. I believe that patients' control is even better; if necessary, you can invite the patient to a second appointment on any convenient day, without an appointment, and allocate as much time to the patient as he needs. It happens, of course, sometimes grandmothers come to talk, and if there is time, I patiently listen to each one. In our profession, it is essential to be able to listen, be attentive, and calm. For me, this is not difficult.
I am a happy person, and I love my job very much. Most importantly, I love to help people, and I love to achieve results. I love to see the grateful eyes of patients," Almira Zigangirova shared with us.
