Starting this week, citizens of Tatarstan can get vaccinated against a new coronavirus infection on weekends. So, in the City Polyclinic #20 of Kazan, 85 people managed to get vaccinated today. The vaccination office is open here on weekends from 10 a.m. to 14 p.m.
This office of a general practitioner serves residents of the Kazan villages of Voznesenskoe, Ofitserov and Privolny — a total of 10, 000 people. A third of the population supervised by the office's doctors is elderly. The general practitioner's office has a treatment room and a reception room. The reception is conducted by the doctors of the Kazan polyclinic #20.
"People read a lot, pass information to each other, and now the flow of people who want to get vaccinated is quite large. A greater number of those who are vaccinated are men over 60 years of age and women of childbearing age. Although now there are both young and old patients — there are patients over 80 years old. What you need to remember, vaccination does not lead to contagion with a new coronavirus infection. Vaccination helps our body to give an immune response to the virus," said Marina Dobrovolskaya, Deputy Chief Physician for Epidemiological Issues in Polyclinic #20.
