A delegation of leading doctors led by the Deputy Minister of the Ulyanovsk region Inna Chigireva arrived in Kazan yesterday to learn from the experience of providing medical care in the field of medical rehabilitation for adults.
The first point of the visit was the Innopolis Medical Center, a polyclinic #3 of the City Clinical Hospital #7. Here the head of the polyclinic Roman Kelin told how the rehabilitation program for patients was organized. The specialists of the departments demonstrated the capabilities and functionality of the presented equipment.
At the Kazan State Clinical Hospital #7, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Zulfiya Shaikhutdinova and chief specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation Rafat Sadriev showed how patient flows are distributed and how, with the help of doctors on duty, it was possible to reduce the waiting time for patients who need prompt specialist assistance. The participants got acquainted with the work of the Vascular Center and the Medical Rehabilitation Department of the clinic, demonstrated the routing of patients who have suffered a stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and the provision of primary medical care. "A multidisciplinary team plays a key role in the rehabilitation process: speech therapists, medical psychologists, physical therapy instructors and methodologists, neurologists. Each of them performs a certain work aimed at one goal: the return of the patient to life," said the head of the Medical Rehabilitation Department Elmira R. Khusainova.
Marat Mazitov, Deputy Chief Medical Officer of the City Polyclinic #21, introduced the guests to the Outpatient Rehabilitation Center's work. The delegation visited a physiotherapy room, a mechanical therapy room, a massage room, a physical therapy room, and a swimming pool. Gulfiya Mannapova, a medical psychologist at the Rehabilitation Department, spoke about the importance and features of psychological support for patients after their illnesses. Special attention was paid to the psychological rehabilitation of patients who had suffered from coronavirus pneumonia. As Gulfiya Talgatovna explained, not only patients need support, but also the doctors themselves, who have taken the brunt of the pandemic. Also, the guests got acquainted with the distribution of patient flows, routing, and the procedure for organizing medical examinations and vaccination against coronavirus.
