On April 5, neonatologists celebrate their professional holiday
Today, 13 neonatologists work at the Kama Children's Medical Center in Naberezhnye Chelny. Neonatologists work in two structural divisions of the KCMC: in the neonatal department of the Perinatal Center and the Neonatal Pathology Department of the Children's Hospital. So, in the Perinatal Center, these are the first doctors who get a newborn baby into their hands. The diagnosis of the child's condition and the determination of the need for treatment depend on their qualified actions.
The physiological department of newborns of the Perinatal Center has been working in the Mother and Child mode since 1995. In the department, each neonatologist is assigned to certain wards, which allows them to supervise children from birth to discharge during the entire period of stay in the hospital. The Department head is the neonatologist of the highest qualification category Sharafutdinova Venera Yuruslanovna.
The Neonatal Care department provides services to both full-term children with various pathologies until the child reaches the age of 28 days. The Department of Neonatal Pathology specializes in the second stage of caring for premature babies born at 22-36 weeks of pregnancy. The KMC has made significant progress in the care of deeply premature babies. Thanks to the resuscitation of newborns and the department of Neonatal Pathology, children born with a bodyweight of less than 500 g are cared for here. The department has an Intensive Care Unit, where the condition is monitored around the clock, and patients are treated. Preterm infants are placed in incubators, where the conditions are as close as possible to intrauterine ones. Children receive intensive therapy, parenteral nutrition, and phototherapy. The head of the department is a neonatologist of the highest qualification category Nizenkova Nataliya Olegovna.
