Alexander Sazonov, an otorhinolaryngologist of the highest qualification category, has worked at the Nizhnekamsk hospital for 47 years. This professional doctor is distinguished by modesty and great love for his life's work.

Alexander Sazonov graduated from the Astrakhan Medical Institute. A native of Astrakhan, in 1974, he came to work in Nizhnekamsk on assignment. He brought his wife with him, and she is also an Astrakhan native. They put down roots in the Tatarstan land.

About the love of work.

"I truly liked these places. All my life, I wanted to live on the river, among the birches, beautiful fields, so that the winters would be snowy. I love hunting and fishing, and here there are all conditions for this. I do not regret that I went to medicine, and I do not regret that I came to Nizhnekamsk. I was lucky enough to work with health care organizers, with wise leaders: Matrosov, Kubasov, Fazulzyanov - these people developed medicine in Nizhnekamsk. I've been in one place for 47 years, and I love what I do. It's great when you help people. This is the most valuable thing in our profession. During my practice, I have done a huge number of operations on ears. There was a case when I had to examine patients who I had operated on 20 years ago. And you know, I was pleased to appreciate the results of my work after so many years. Patients live a full life. I liked the quality of the work done, and I was happy for myself."

A unique case.

"Of course, during my practice, I met with different cases. One day, after a gang fight, we received a patient who had a knife sticking out of his nose, the blade of which was pointed towards the brain. The knife was gone in by 15 centimeters, and I thought that was the end of it, and we will lose this person. But he was strong! I tried to pull the knife out, but it wouldn't budge because it was so stuck in the bones. After removing the sharp object, fortunately, the patient did not even bleed heavily. And after three days, the man went home happy."

Human qualities come first and foremost.

"There were no doctors in our family. My two daughters gave me two grandchildren, and a few months ago, I had a great-granddaughter. I hope that one of them will become a doctor. But whatever path they choose, the main thing is that they do what they love. To be a good doctor, you need, first of all, to love your profession. And it would be best if you also had the honesty and a good attitude to patients. If the doctor mistreats the patient, it is wrong. The doctor's professionalism may be different, but the human qualities should be in the first place. Over the years, we all eventually become specialists, but goodwill and warmth towards the patient are either there or not. In any case, every doctor should have a great desire to help people at the forefront."

Today Alexander Sazonov celebrates his 70th anniversary. The staff of the NKRMH sincerely thanks Alexander Nikolaevich for his dedication to the profession. We congratulate you, our dear and respected Alexander Nikolaevich! We wish you good health, to never lose heart, always be cheerful at duty and ready for a successful fight against ailments. Let there be enough confidence and optimism for brave work. Thank you for your hard work!
