On April 29, exactly a year ago, the 2d infectious diseases department was opened on the basis of the Nizhnekamsk CRMH. We used to call it more simply – COVID hospital.
The new coronavirus infection has not only divided the lives of people around the world into "before" and "after", but also the life of the entire medical community into “red" and “clean" zones. And if we compare the fight against coronavirus infection with the war , then the" red zone" is, of course, a battle front, and the "clean zone" is a home front.
The battle in the hospital for the lives of patients continues to this day. And if we speak in terms of numbers, only in 2020 5,343 patients were treated here, and this year more than 1300 people have already become patients of the hospital.
If you look in the office, where the medical records of those who were able to defeat the insidious virus are stored, then looking at their number, goosebumps run through the body. Dozens of boxes contained more than 6,000 medical records for the entire operation of the hospital. Just think about it - this is the amount of work that a regular department does in five years! In these stories, the fate of people who faced the disease face to face.
Today, there are 90 employees in the hospital. During its work, the "red zone" was visited by doctors from all medical institutions of Nizhnekamsk. Colleagues from the Kamskiye Polyany and neighboring cities also worked here.
The uniqueness of the COVID hospital lies in the fact that it was deployed on the basis of an existing hospital, that is, all this time in the NCRMH, despite the work of the "red zone", doctors and nurses continued to treat other diseases that no one canceled.
Hundreds of words of gratitude are addressed to the doctors to this day, all of those who did not spare themselves and their efforts to fight and continue to fight the insidious virus. These are doctors, laboratory assistants, nurses, paramedics, nurses, disinfectants, epidemiologists, infectious disease specialists, all employees of the polyclinic level, all auxiliary services.
We join all the words of gratitude to the people who selflessly work in the "red" and "clean" zones, those who treat, give patients oxygen, make X-rays and CT scans, make sure that the wards are light and warm, feed, supply medicines, and keep them clean. This huge army of people is worthy of respect and sincere recognition. Thank you for your hard work!
