Municipal "Student" Polyclinic № 21 and the department of medical and preventive work and psychological care of Kazan Federal University (KFU) held the campaign "Sober! Handsome! Young! and Healthy!" dedicated to the all-Russian Sobriety Day. Psychologists Ilmira Rybakova and Ksenia Alentyeva made a speech. They told about the history of this day and held the interactive lecture on the dangers of alcohol and drug diseases.

International work-shop on new treatment methods of degenerative diseases of the spine "Surgical treatment of spondylolisthesis using combined access" took place in Medical Center of OAO "Tatneft" in Almetyevsk. The event was attended by Japanese neurosurgeons: head of spinal neurosurgery department, Professor Masao Koda, neurosurgeon of Tsukuba Institute Clinical Hospital Alexander Zaboronok. The initiators of work-shop were: TR Health Ministry and Educational Center "AMTEC" at the support of the company "Tatneft".

Health personnel of Chistopolsky Central Regional Hospital are actively working to inform the population about influenza vaccination. Pediatricians and paramedics speak at meetings with parents. According to experts, timely vaccination helps to prevent high incidence of influenza and reduces the risk of post-influenza complications, especially in young children and the elderly.

Campaign for early diagnosis of breast cancer takes place in Tetyushsky district. Residents of the district can pass a free examination of mammary glands and get advice from oncologist-mammologist. All procedures are carried out in on-site mammograph of Republican Clinical Oncology Dispensary. The examination of residents was organized within the framework of the program "Measures to improve the provision of cancer care to the population of Tetyushsky district for 2018-2020". 370 women were examined in Tetyushi.

Kazan celebrates All-Russian Sobriety Day on September, 11th. This holiday is celebrated in Boratynsky Museum every year during the last 15 years. Central idea of the event is "Sobriety holiday as a cultural heritage of the Kazan province."

Specialists of Children's Republican Clinical Hospital tell the Kazan students about flu prevention and timely vaccinations during thematic activities. Students learn about the need to comply with the national calendar of preventive vaccinations and modern vaccination. Training takes place in the format of discussion. Physicians communicate not only with children, but also with adults at parents’ meetings in educational institutions.

23-d International Specialized Exhibition "Health industry. Kazan" will take place at the exhibition center "Kazan fair" from 10 to 12 of October, 2018. It is the main platform of Tatarstan Republic for the promotion of high-quality medicines, medical equipment, goods and services in the field of health care.

Students with visual disabilities began their studies in Nizhnekamsk Medical College. 12 people, 4 of whom are completely blind, master the specialty of Medical massage according the special program. It is worth noting that the blind person is characterized by increased sensitivity of the hands and such experts are especially appreciated.

Emergency paramedics of Kazan went to save people 7309 times during the week.  1348 emergency calls were registered to public places. Emergency paramedics went to accidents 1008 times, including road traffic accidents. 44 people have suffered in road accidents, 27 persons were taken to healthcare institutions. 5578 emergency calls were registered about different diseases, including acute myocardial infarction (52 cases) and acute violations of cerebral circulation (199 cases).

Forum of the Russian Respiratory Society took place in Kazan. It was attended by 122 Tatarstan physicians. Chief pulmonologist of Moscow Health Department, Professor A. Belevsky, Professor E. I. Shmelev, Chief pulmonologist of TR Health Ministry, MD I. Yu. Wiesel appeared in the forum. The main therapist of TR Health Ministry, MD D. I. Abdulganiev presented a report about reduction of mortality in Tatarstan. Experts discussed the issues of diagnosis and treatment of asthma, pneumonia, diagnosis of rare lung diseases.
