For students of the faculty of "Fundamentals of Medicine" of the University of the Third Age, the final bell rang today – 35 Nizhnekamsk residents, for whom doctors from all medical institutions of the city gave lectures, received diplomas today.

The team of the Chistopol CDH became the winner of the traditional May relay race dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Victory.

On May 16, the annual May relay race dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory was held at the Tatneft Olymp stadium.

On May 14, the zonal stage of the Sports Contest of Health Workers "Health – 2021" was held in Almetyevsk. The picked team of Naberezhnye Chelny was represented by more than 50 medical athletes from medical and preventive institutions of the city.

All participants showed a desire for a healthy lifestyle by winning 7 types of competitions: athletics, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, chess, tug of war, swimming.

Now, when you see long rows of empty beds in the corridors of the Infectious Diseases Hospital of the Nizhnekamsk CDMH, you can't believe that there were so many people that patients, including heavy ones, were lying in all the adapted rooms – offices, canteens, bandaging rooms. Because the hospital is designed for 107 patients, and in November 350 Nizhnekamsk residents were treated here. Now the situation is much better – 61 people receive treatment in the red zone. In half of them, the health condition is assessed as moderate. Five patients are in the Intensive Care Unit.

According to the decision of the World Health Organization, the World AIDS Memorial Day is held every third Sunday in May. The symbol of the memorable date is a red ribbon. For the first time in history, this day was celebrated back in 1983 in San Francisco (USA). The organizers of the campaign in memory of those who passed away due to AIDS were people who were personally affected by the problem of HIV/AIDS.

It is difficult to imagine our health care without a nurse. This is one of the most humane professions of our time, because a person's life and health are the main values for everyone. They perform all the doctor's tasks, their caring word plays a significant role in the process of recovery of the patient. According to statistics, about 80% of all patient care falls on the shoulders of nurses. On May 12, the birthday of the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale, nurses around the world celebrate their professional holiday – the International Nurses Day.

In the context of the pandemic, the provision of timely medical care is an urgent health task. Computed tomography of the chest organs has become the gold standard for the diagnostics of the new coronavirus infection SARS-CoV-2. Residents have the opportunity to receive the necessary high-tech medical care in a timely manner. Quality, speed, and availability are a priority in the fight against the virus.

The most important rule is to drink enough clean drinking water to avoid dehydration. Tea, juices, kvas and other beverages will not give this effect, and they cannot replace clean water.
