Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Honored Doctor of TR Evgeny Aleksandrovich Sakharov has died at the age of 62 years on June 20, 2018.

Series of educational activities for young patients and their parents under the general theme "Discharge training" were prepared by the staff of Children's Republican Clinical Hospital. A historical presentation dedicated to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War was shown to the children. The performance was told about the lives of people in the occupied cities and at the front, about famous compatriots who gave their lives for their Homeland. CRCH specialists told about the correction of constipation and bronchial obstruction in children to the parents, whose children were ready to discharge. Communication with physicians took place in a dialogue format.

The grant of the Russian President's Fund for the development of civil society has expanded the geography of the "Patient's school" for HIV-infected people in Tatarstan Republic. The project has started in Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetyevsk and Bugulma. "Patient’s schools" for HIV-infected people offer comprehensive medical and social services in cooperation with National AIDS Center and non-profit organizations. Activities are aimed at developing adherence to antiretroviral therapy at HIV-infected people and reducing the level of unauthorized interruption of therapy.

39 physicians and paramedics of emergency medical care were awarded with certificates of Honor of TR Health Ministry and Healthcare Department of Kazan at the event dedicated to Medical Professional Day. Meeting of Interdepartmental Commission on prevention and control of tuberculosis, HIV infection and sexually transmitted infections was held in Nizhnekamsk. Deputy head of the Executive Committee of NMD Aidar Fakhretdinov and Head of Healthcare Department of NMD Venera Rakhimova took part in the meeting.

Head of the Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk municipal district Marat Girfanov has congratulated the medical professionals of the district with the professional holiday. The ceremony of awarding by certificates of honor of Health Ministry of the Russian Federation and TR, the industry mark "Honorary health worker of TR" were held by the head of the Healthcare Department of TR Health Ministry Vera Golovina. Medical professionals of Almetyevsk take the active part in various sports competitions for the purpose of promotion of healthy lifestyle and active longevity.

Practical seminar on the implementation of the project "Neonatal screening of life-threatening conditions: persistent pulmonary hypertension of newborns and critical congenital heart diseases by pulse oximetry" was held at Children's Municipal Hospital №2. Training of pediatricians and neonatologists took place within the framework of the part-time cycle "Topical issues of neonatology", organized by Pediatrics sub-faculty with the course of polyclinic Pediatrics of Kazan State Medical Academy. The reports were made by specialists of healthcare institutions of Kazan.  Work shop on the practical application of neonatal pulse oximetry screening was held at the end of the seminar.

Veterans of the health industry were honored on the eve of Medical Professional Day in Naberezhnye Chelny. Honorary diplomas of the city and Republic administration were handed to the workers of Municipal Hospital №5: head of the cardiology department Venera Gilfanova and anesthesiologist-resuscitator Galina Solovieva. The diploma of the winner of the city competition of professional skills "Best physician – 2018" was handed to the head of the neurological department №1 Natalia Veretennikova.
