Traditional Sobriety Holiday took place in Kazan in the Lenin garden. Event has collected people of the different ages ready to express the negative attitude to drunkenness. Organizers have prepared various plays, quests and competitions to draw attention of citizens to healthy life style. All participants could test the useful porridge and a compote glass. Sobriety holidays have been invented in Russia in the XX-th century by community of noble family. They became events of urban scale and essentially changed the attitude to alcohol.

Volunteer clean-up has taken place in Tatarstan Republic within the limits of two-month clean-up campaign. Employees of Health Ministry of Tatarstan and physicians took part in the All-Russia clean-up campaign to make our republic beautiful this spring. Health personnel cleaned adjacent territories of hospitals and clinics. Solar weather and common good business gave pleasure to all participants of this campaign.

Representatives of republican healthcare institutions have read a series of lectures on health conservation, preventive maintenance of oncologic diseases to pupils of school №95 and lycée №83 of Privolzhsky district of Kazan.

Representatives of World Health Organization led by the principal of WHO in the Russian Federation, Doctor Melita Vujnovic, are in Kazan with working visit. Principal of the European office of WHO on preventive maintenance of non-infectious diseases, Doctor João Breda; High adviser on non-infectious diseases of European regional bureau of WHO, Doctor Luigi Migliorini; the Coordinator of the anti-tuberculosis program of WHO office in the Russian Federation, Doctor Afanasiev Nikita Ju.; Specialist of anti- tobacco program of WHO office in the Russian Federation Manukhina Olga V. were in the delegation.  

Specialists of SAHI «Republican Clinical Hospital» and SAHI «Kazan Endocrinology Dispensary» received patients with diabetes. They examined 40 persons. Everybody could know the glucose level in blood in screening-laboratory.

Competition of posters on labor protection and injury rate prophylaxes has been held at Republican Blood Centre. Awarding of winners took place on April, 28th in World Day for Safety and Health at Work. This informational campaign is urged to draw attention of the public to problems in the field of labor protection and to growth of number of traumas, diseases and the fatal cases bound to labor activity.

Meeting of interdepartmental AIDS commission of Tatarstan Republic Cabinet council has taken place in TR Health Ministry in video conference regimen. The meeting agenda included questions of implementation of government program «Development of Tatarstan Republic healthcare till 2020» on preventive maintenance of diseases and forming of healthy life style.

Mission of Narcological Dispensary was generated, corporate culture elements were marked out during training. Participants of training and the principal of institution could size up the level of team work at the present. Employees were trained in techniques of effective interacting with patients and colleagues.

Cycle of popular scientific lectures about the National calendar of preventive immunization, competition of drawings among children of employees «What do you know about immunization?» and planned vaccination of students of High Schools started in Municipal Polyclinic №4 "Student's". Events take place within the limits of the European Immunization Week under the motto «Vaccines bring result». 300 persons were vaccinated within the campaign.

Educational cycle «Stroke training» and the Third Volga region conference of specialists «Pressing questions of application X-ray surgery methods in preventive maintenance and stroke treatment» started in Kazan. TR Health Minister Adel Vafin and Head surgeon of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Russian society of specialists on X-ray diagnostic and treatment Bagrat Alekian have opened the conference.
