Tuberculosis: preferences of fight against
Today the medical meeting dedicated to results of activities in 2023 and tasks for 2024 was held at the Republican Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary.
Roadmap on tuberculosis was elaborated in the Republic in 2023.
The tasks of the roadmap have been completed. The territorial prevalence of tuberculosis in 2023 was 22.0 per 100,000 of population, which is 9.5% lower than in 2022. The incidence of tuberculosis in the Republic is 29.3% lower than in the Russian Federation and 29.0% lower than in the Volga Federal District.
The mortality rate from tuberculosis in 2023 remained at the level of 2022 and amounted to 1.4 per 100 thousand people.
According to the roadmap, it is necessary to maintain the tendency to reduce the occurrence of tuberculosis (the target is 21.6 per 100,000) in 2024, mortality should be reduced to 1.3 per 100,000 people.
