3 widespread myths about drugs

There exist many misbeliefs about drug use. Now dispel the most common of them.

1st myth: one-time drug use will not lead to addiction

The truth is that most people who have taken a drug once do not stop anymore. One-time drug use is the first step towards drug addiction. Only a few, having taken a drug once, can stop. It is worth adding that today many drugs cause addiction and even can lead to death from the first dose.

2nd myth: drugs can help to cope with troubles and stress

The verity is that drugs are just an illusion of temporary relief. They do not solve the causes of problems, but only postpone their solution indefinitely. Drug use exacerbates the problems and creates new ones, including addiction and health problems.

3rd myth: drug dependency is not a disease

The reality is that drug addiction is not a bad habit. It is a disease, which is included in medical books along with any other disorders. In terms of severity, drug addiction is equated to oncological diseases, as it has 96% mortality.
