Republic of Tatarstan will be the fourth region of Russia, where Children’s Genetic Dermatoses Center for full-service professional treatment for children with rare genetic diseases will be opened
Genetic Dermatoses Center on the basis of SAIH “Republican Clinical Dermatological and Venereological Dispensary named after Professor A.G. Ge” will be arranged in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2024 on the initiative of the Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Butterfly Children Fund.
Children with epidermolysis bullosa, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis etc. can be examined in the Center.
Cross-disciplinary team of doctors: pediatrician, dermatologist, immunologist, allergy specialist, gastroenterologist, otolaryngologist, endocrinologist, nephrologist, ophthalmologist, surgeon, orthopedist, urologist, gynecologist, cardiologist, nutritionist, psychiatrist, surdologist will work with patients of the Center.
Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Marcel Minnullin pointed out the importance of timely medical treatment for children with orphan diseases and other genetic disorders of the skin.
Genetic Dermatoses Center is the fourth institution in Russia. There exist Centers in Moscow region, Penza region and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The opening of the Center is planning in spring of 2024.
