Invite to International Medical Congress dedicated to the founder of cardiac electrophysiology Alexander Samoylov

On April 5, International Medical Congress dedicated to A.F.Samoylov “Fundamental and clinical electrophysiology. Current issues of modern medicine” will be opened in Kazan State Medical Academy.

  • First in Russia ECG tracing of healthy man was recorded in Kazan University due to A.F. Samoylov in 1906.
  • Physiology and electrocardiography course was introduced in Kazan Institute for doctors’ improvement by A.F.Samoylov in 1920.
  • Kazan has become a center for the development of clinical electrocardiography not only in Russia, but also in the world.
  •  As a result of the widespread introduction of electrocardiography, new branches of medicine have appeared: cardiology and functional diagnostics.

MAIN PURPOSE OF CONGRESS is a translation of basic research into clinical practice for representatives of science and clinicians in a wide range of fields:

  • cardiology and arrhythmology, neurophysiology,
  • functional diagnostics,
  • ultrasound methods of study of the cardiovascular system,
  • otolaryngology, somnology,
  • healthcare digital transformation

Note: Alexander Fillipovich Samoylov is an outstanding Russian physiologist, student of I.P. Pavlov and I.M. Sechenov. His name is recorded in world history of cardiac electrophysiology.

As part of the opening ceremony, the winners of the YOUNG SCIENTISTS COMPETITION will be awarded.
