June 26 is the Day of the narcologist. International Day Against Drugs and Illicit Drug Trafficking

In 1987, the United Nations declared this date a symbol of the global struggle against one of the most insidious problems of our time. The word "drug", derived from the Greek word "stupor", today hides behind itself a whole arsenal of substances that cause destructive dependence – physical and psychological.

Narcologists are those who fight daily on the front lines of this invisible war.

As part of the republican anti-drug month "Life without drugs", a preventive event was held in Yelabuga nursing Home Vyacheslav Sergeevich Golubev, a psychiatrist and narcologist at Yelabuga Central District Hospital, held a conversation with residents about the prevention of alcohol, tobacco and narcotic substances.
