Anniversary Volga Region Conference dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first dialysis and the 35th anniversary of the first kidney transplantation has been opened in Kazan
The conference is taking place today in Kazan with the participation of nephrologists, transplant surgeons, vascular surgeons and urologists.
Welcoming remarks and presentations were made by:
Nail Rafisovich Gatiyatullin, Chief visiting specialist in extrarenal blood purification and Nephrology at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, Assistant Professor at the Department of Urology, Nephrology and Transplantation at KSMA;
Natalia Petrova, Chief visiting Nephrologist at the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for the Volga Federal District and the Ministry of Health of the Saratov Region;
Khasanova Milyausha Ilyasovna, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Urology, Nephrology and Transplantology, KSMA, Associate Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine, KFU;
Kirshin Andrey Aleksandrovich, Chief freelance transplant specialist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan and others.
The participants recalled the history of the development of renal replacement therapy in Tatarstan, the dialysis service, the traditions of the Kazan school, the prospects for the development of kidney transplantation, modern approaches to the treatment of patients and the use of new drugs.
