Before the board meeting, an exhibition of medical equipment and products manufactured in the Republic of Tatarstan was held. Kazan State Medical University also presented its innovative developments.

A significant part of them are medicines. Among them are the first Russian antifungal eye drops (terbinafine), developed at the Department of Ophthalmology of Kazan State Medical University in cooperation with JSC Tathimpharmparaty.
The key value of the development lies in the creation of a safe and effective domestic remedy for the treatment of ophthalmomycosis. The product is aimed at ophthalmological clinics and hospitals, and its implementation will reduce the number of severe complications, including eye removal. Currently, preclinical studies on safety and toxicity in animals have been conducted, and a safety conclusion has been obtained. Preparations are underway for the first phase of clinical trials of the drug.

Ophthalmomycosis is considered a critical public health problem. Despite the fact that fungal keratitis accounts for up to 50% of all infectious corneal lesions, experts note a global shortage of local antifungal ophthalmic drugs. In Russia, this problem is particularly acute, as there are no registered ophthalmic antimycotic drugs, while untimely start and inadequate treatment inevitably leads to the death of the eyeball.

Mini propranolol tablets for personalized therapy of infantile hemangiomas in children were presented at the exhibition.

Mini tablets with a diameter of 3 mm provide an accurate dosage of the drug in accordance with the child's body weight, which greatly simplifies the use of the drug. The developed drug propranolol, orodispersible mini tablets in dosages of 0.5 mg, 1 mg and 2 mg, has no analogues in Russia and abroad.
