Airat Damirovich spoke in detail about the functions and significance of the human immune system, explaining the difference between innate and acquired immunity. He explained that after suffering from an infectious disease, natural immunity is formed, which persists for different periods of time. The lecturer also noted that the newborn receives protection through the placenta and breast milk (passive natural immunity).
Special attention was paid to artificial immunity, which is developed after vaccination. Thanks to vaccinations, the human body is already ready to resist infection even before encountering the causative agent of the disease.
The doctor recalled that thanks to vaccinations, humanity has stopped massively dying from infections that were rampant a century ago.
"Vaccination allows you to create artificial immunity without risking your health during illness. This is the safest way to "introduce" the body to the virus," Airat Damirovich emphasized.
With the start of mass vaccination, the situation has changed dramatically: controlled infections have ceased to occupy a leading position in the mortality structure of the population.
During the lecture, Airat Damirovich told future and established mothers about the National Calendar of preventive vaccinations, elaborated on each vaccine and the timing of their administration, starting from the first days of the child's life.
The patients thanked the doctor for the informative conversation and agreed with the importance and necessity of vaccination.
