On operating table there was 88 years old patient with many accompanying diseases and very high gradient on the aortal valve – near 112 mm. Because of high risk of traditional methods of surgical intervention, it was very difficult to help to similar patients. The only possible way to help was to operate using low invasion access. Team- operation of Czech and Tatar specialists has dilated possibilities of ICDC in treatment of patients with lesion of aortal valve. – Formerly heart surgeons could not help these patients because in the conditions of artificial circulation the patients could not transfer open operation. Now, because of the endovascular technology, it became possible. |

Procedure is fulfilled with minimum interventions – minimum of sections on body, narcosis minimum. The necessary postoperative recovery time depends on the patient’ condition. If the patient has normally transferred the operation it is possible to come back home in 5 days. World experience shows that similar endovascular interventions are usual, because they are required to 15-20 patients on 1 million persons. That’s why in the medical centers of Europe these operations already became usual procedure both for doctors, and for patients. |

– I am grateful to ICDC for the invitation and harmonious operation of our team. Operational room is big and equipment practically does not differ from that I used to, – said Victor Koshka – the first patient was difficult, but it was easy to work with heart team of ICDC; I am very satisfied by our team operation. |
