Wake up healthy and beautiful: oncologists performed simultaneous breast reconstruction on a 39-year-old patient

The patient received her formation and immediately turned to a mammologist. After further examination and trepan biopsy, doctors revealed a triple negative form of breast cancer, one of the most aggressive subtypes of the tumor.

Oncologists of the Naberezhnye Chelny Cancer Center decided to start treatment with neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The body responded well to the treatment: after several courses, the tumor practically ceased to be detected clinically.

The next stage was the operation.
A team of oncosurgeons performed subcutaneous mastectomy with simultaneous breast reconstruction. During the intervention, doctors completely removed the damaged tissue, and then immediately installed an anatomical implant.

"Modern oncosurgery is not about removing a tumor to save a life. We are fighting to ensure that the patient returns to her family and society full—fledged, self-confident, beautiful and happy," says Linar Nigmatullin, Head of Oncosurgery.

The patient is now feeling well, recovering and ready to return to her usual life.
