Pre-abortion counseling: the psychologist of the Zainsk CDH explains why it is needed

16 June 2026, Tuesday

Pre-abortion counseling is performed in a situation of unplanned pregnancy, which always becomes stressful. It is important to help a woman understand her feelings, relieve emotional stress and make a balanced decision, not an impulsive one," the specialist explains.

The consultation includes psychological support and information about medical, social and legal aspects. A woman gets the opportunity to consider the situation more broadly, including the measure of state support for family and motherhood.

According to the psychologist, all women experience anxiety, fear, guilt, and insecurity. The reasons for the decision to grant asylum vary: life plans, financial and housing difficulties, unstable relationships, environmental pressures, and health insurance.
