III Russian-European Educational Symposium on thoracal surgery takes place in Kazan

Today III Russian-European M.I.Perelman Educational Symposium on thoracal surgery begins its work on the basis of Educational Centre of High Medical Technologies of Kazan.
Visitors and participants of Symposium have been greeted by TR Health Minister Adel Vafin. «It is very pleasant that the third symposium bears the name of legendary academician Michael Perelman − the person who was the expert during the first and the second symposiums. It is also pleasant that foreign specialists take part in the forum. It confirms the highest level, experience and traditions of thoracal surgery in Russia», − has told the head of TR Health Ministry.
Adel Vafin has expressed gratitude to organizers and visitors of symposium − the leading Russian and foreign experts for their presence on behalf of TR Government. Here at the highest level there was an exchange of opinions, new directions and methods of treatment which are used today in Russia and in Europe have been studied.
«I hope that this symposium will be at the same high level, as well as two previous, and each participant will take away something new», − TR Health Minister has added.
Professor Gilbert Massar has made a speech in the opening seremony on behalf of European Society of thoracal surgeons. He has noticed that school’s level of thoracal surgeons develops every year, many young specialists take part in it. «It became accessible to the western colleagues. This year 15 colleagues came from Western Europe. Next year they can be more numerous», − Gilbert Massar has told.

The topical problems of science and practice of thoracal surgery, new surgical technologies and endoscopy have been included in symposium’s program.

This year the main specialists of thoracal surgery from Great Britain, Italy, France, Spain, Slovakia and Turkey (members of European Society of thoracal surgeons) have been invited as the leading experts.
