Unique work-shop on implementation of endovascular technology — arteries’ embolization of prostate (АEP)

Doctors of angiographic and X-ray-endovascular researches unit of SAHI «CRH 2» Sharafeev A.Z. (D.M., managing X-ray-endovascular, cardiovascular and cardiology surgery sub-faculty of KSMU), Sharafutdinov B. M, Khalirakhmanov A.F. showed unique work-shop on implementation of endovascular technology — arteries’ embolization of prostate (АEP) at benign hyperplasia of prostate for urologists of republican healthcare institutions. Uniqueness of this type of interventions is caused by fact that this kind of help can be rendered to the patients only in SAHI«CRH 2» in the territory of Volga region.
The benign hyperplasia of prostate (BHP) is one of the most widespread diseases of men, older 45 years. After statistical data, 30-40 % of men have this disease.
At the present, more progressive specialists prefer to use low invasive methods at treatment of adenoma of prostate, like X-ray endovascular arteries’ embolization of prostate.

BHP is applied as alternative or additional treatment’ methods of adenoma of prostate and at the patients receiving conservative therapy at its inefficiency or appearance of  side effects, and also in the presence of high risks of traditional surgical treatment. The hospital discharge of the patient takes place on the second-third day after operation, and emiction’s improving is watched on the first week after the discharge.
