Radical laparoscopic prostatectomy is made for the first time in Tatarstan Republic on the basis of Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary

Unique operation - radical laparoscopic prostatectomy has been made today on the basis of Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary for the first time in ТR. Operation has been made by Professor of sub-faculty of surgery faculty №1 of MSМSU, DM, the principal surgeon of Medical Center of Mayor Administrated Department and Moscow Government, Edward Abdulkhaevich Galliamov together with doctors of onco-urology unit of RCOD of TR HM. About 80 specialists from Tatarstan and next regions could watch the operation online. Operation had interactive character, so doctors could not only watch, but also ask questions. Besides prostatectomy, laparoscopic nephrectomy has been made to the patient with malignant lesion.
These operations are possible only with using of the modern equipment and highly trained personnel.
One of principal advantages of laparoscopic prostatectomy is that it is conducted with using of video camera which increases nerves and vas several times and allows to save them from trauma and also to save erectile function.
According to participants of the conference, operations presented in Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary of TR Health Ministry, will give qualitatively vector to development of endoscopic operative measures in republic.
