Seminar "Basis of internal fixation of facial skeleton»

The priority task of health care of Russia and Tatarstan Republic is quality improvement of medical aid which depends on qualification and competence of medical personnel. Scientific-practical seminar "Basis of internal fixation of facial skeleton» took place in maxillofacial surgery unit of «Children's Republican Hospital of TR HM» at the support of TR Health Ministry and company “DePuy Synthes”. The seminar has had the regional status. The representatives of Tatarstan Republic, Bashkortostan, Mordovian and Chuvash republics, Ulyanovsk region took part in it.
Main objective of seminar was the discussion of problems of professional activity and development of the surgical help in maxillofacial surgery. The seminar was opened by head physician of RCH Raphael Firnayalovich Shavaliev. Lectures have been read by the chairman of Russian AOCMF, D.M., the maxillofacial surgeon, Pavel Nickolaevich Mitroshenkov (CCH of Russian Railway Open Society, Moscow). Work shops on osteosynthesis of mandible and medial face zone by systems Matrix Mandible and Midface according to the methods AO/ASIF have been shown. 22 maxillofacial surgeons took part in the seminar, including representatives of maxillofacial surgery sub-faculty of КSМА and doctors interns. Within the limits of seminar, the consultations of patients with congenital and acquired osteal deformations of facial skeleton, operations with participation of doctors of CRCH have been carried out.
