Operation on plastic of the most safe system of femoral fixation had been made for the first time in Tatarstan

Operation on plastic of front cross ligament with femoral cross fixation RIGIDFIX CURVE Cross Pin System (made by DePuy Mitek) has been successfully applied in orthopedy unit of SAHI RCH №2 of TR HM for the first time in TR. Cross fixation of graft absorbing by pins (biodegradable fixation device) is the most safe and strong system of femoral fixation today.
Difference and advantage of the given method from the previous system of cross fixation RIGIDFIX is change of transtibial access to the anteromedial access. The given method is new and more perfect and allows to set up the graft of new ligament in most anatomic way, with highness isometry.
For the moment four patients suffering chronic front instability of knee joint have been operated.
The first operation has been led on September, 26th. On October, 3rd doctors of unit will operate with application of new method.
