Medical expedition in the Volga Federal Region arrived in the villages of Zainsk district

Medical students began to provide medical assistance to the population of Zainsky district of Tatarstan Republic in the framework of the campaign "Medical expedition in VFR" on January, 28. Representatives of the Udmurt Republic, the Samara region, the Saratov region, the Republic of Mari El, the Chuvash Republic, the Ulyanovsk region and the Republic of Tatarstan take part in the campaign. Students of Kazan State Medical University and other universities will provide medical and targeted social assistance to the rural population of the district during ten days.

The first settlement on the way of medical expedition became the village Shipki. Deputy head of Executive Committee of Zainsk region Alexander Chapkov and head physician of Zainsky Central Regional Hospital Rim Amerov welcomed the participants of the expedition at the opening ceremony. They noted that this campaign will help students to see and understand the specifics of medical care in rural areas.
