High-tech operation was performed in CRCH

High-tech surgery to implant vagus nerve stimulator was performed in CRCH. There are a number of patients suffering from epilepsy resistant form and medicinal treatment does not help them. Surgery is recommended in such cases. Sometimes it is open large interventions on the brain, but when the obvious cause is not established, the surgeons perform the vagus stimulation as an alternative.

 Vagus nerve is released on the neck, an electrode is fixed on it and a small stimulator is connected; it generates a current of certain amplitude that blocks epilepsy attacks.
