Tatar public celebrates the day of memory of the outstanding Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay on April, 15

Mini-Museum of the poet is situated in the building of Health Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan in Ostrovsky street, 11/6. In the early twentieth century, it housed the hospital of Dr. Hirsch Klyachkin, where Gabdulla Tukay spent his last days. On April 15, 1913 he passed away, not having lived a few days to 27 years.

Tukay’s room is a memorial room located on the ground floor of the building. Two small windows overlook Kavi Najmi street. There is a small exhibition dedicated to the poet along one of the walls.
