Rare surgery on chemodectoma resection (tumors of the carotid glomus) has been successfully performed at the University Hospital of KFU. Surgeons of vascular surgery unit of the University clinic of KFU under the leadership of the head Vladimir A. Lukanikhin operated on a seventy-year-old patient, who was found to have a tumor located in the upper part of the neck.
