The historical archive of the founder of the Kazan ophthalmological school E. V. Аdamyuk was given to the KSMU Museum
Direct descendants of the founder of the Kazan ophthalmological school, Professor E. V. Adamyuk (1839-1906) – Roland and Barbara Closs from Austria visited Kazan State Medical University. Guests from Moscow, who currently live in an apartment previously owned by the granddaughter and great-grandson of the Professor, came to Kazan. They arrived at the invitation of the rector of KSMU A. S. Sozinov, Associate Professor of ophthalmology A. M. Nugumanova and Director of the Museum of history of KSMU R. G. Ivanova. Invited guests were able to keep the family archive of Professor Valentine Adamyk (1877-1950) – the son of Professor Emilian V. Adamyuk. And now, thanks to this meeting, they were able to transmit to the Professor’s posterity family heirlooms, miraculously preserved.
