International Nurse Day is celebrated today

Nurses all over the world celebrate their professional holiday on May, 12. This day was chosen according to the decision of the International organization of the Red Cross in the birthday of the English nurse Florence Nightingale, who organized the world's first service of sisters of mercy during the Crimean war. Although in fact the holiday is more than a hundred years old, it was officially established only in 1971.
