May, 20 is World Traumatologist Day. This specialist deals with diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation after injuries of different localization and nature. Most serious traumatic effects affect the musculoskeletal system, nervous and vascular systems; traumatology is closely related to neurosurgery, orthopedics, vascular, septic and burn surgery.

The first traumatologist was the ancient philosopher and scientist Hippocrates with his guide "On the joints" and " On the fractures". Until now, doctors use the term "reduction of dislocation by the method of Hippocrates."
