A demonstrative operation on transcatheter implantation of a new generation aortic valve took place in ICDC
ICDC hosted the training on cardiovascular surgery "Open, endovascular and hybrid technologies of treatment in CVS" on September, 30.
Demonstration operation on transcatheter installation of a new generation aortic valve was performed within the training. A live broadcast was organized from the operating room – participants, as well as specialists from other high-tech centers of the Republic could follow the course of the intervention in the conference hall of ICDC. The new valve was implanted into the patient in 15 minutes. The operation was performed together with the head of roentgen-surgical methods of diagnosis and treatment unit of ICDC Mikhail Volodukhin and physicians-interventional radiologists and chief researcher of cardiovascular surgery department of National Medical Research Center of Cardiology of Health Ministry of the Russian Federation Timur Imaev.
