Surgical treatment of osteochondrosis in children has started in CRCH

The first surgery for the treatment of lumbar spine osteochondrosis with compression of roots L4 and L5 has been performed in neurosurgery department of CRCH. Operations were carried out at teenagers of 15 and 16 years old from Tatarstan.

Such surgical interventions became possible after the purchase of surgical instruments with funds allocated by the charity program of VTB Bank "World without tears". Previously, patients with a similar diagnosis were operated in healthcare institutions for adults.
