RCH physician attended a seminar on the treatment of fractures in elderly and senile patients in Moscow

Head of the trauma department No. 1 of Republican Clinical Hospital (RCH) Gamil G. Garifullov took part in the seminar "Treatment of fractures in elderly and senile patients" in Moscow. Speakers included Oliver Kegler, geriatrician of Nuremberg, Germany.

The participants of the seminar were doctors of different specialties: traumatologists-orthopedists, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, neurologists. The issues of treatment of fractures on the background of osteoporosis, prevention of pulmonary embolism (PE) and senile delirium, anesthesia for elderly patients with fractures, and organizational aspects of assistance to this contingent were discussed.
