Ophthalmologist's Day is celebrated in Russia and other CIS countries on November, 11. The holiday is not official. In the international calendar there is another date that allows us to remember about ophthalmologists and their contribution to the medicine – August, 8.

Tatarstan specialists are known far beyond the region. Professor E. V. Adamyuk Republican Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital provides highly specialized ophthalmological care to the adult population of Tatarstan Republic. The clinic has almost a century-old history and occupies one of the leading places among the state ophthalmological hospitals in the Russian Federation on the level of equipment and training of specialists.
